Bangkok Escort, A Thai Girls Diary. March 9-10.

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Today I was very surprised. I was going to get a taxi from outside Grande Centre Point Hotel, on Mahatlek Luang Soi 1, to Phetburi Soi 35. I got in to one of the taxis that were parked outside Centre Point and told the driver where I wanted to go and he told me that it would be “400 Baht, Krap”. It is not very far, if you use the meter the fare is no more than 50 Baht. I knew because I’ve gone that way before and at this time of day there was not much traffic. I got out of the taxi, which surprised the driver. I walked out to Ratchadamri road and got a taxi in the street, it cost me 47 Baht instead of 400 Baht so I gave the driver 100 Baht because I felt I still got a good deal. The driver thought so also and he left me with a smile on his face. I think the taxis that are parked outside the hotels do like this a lot. I feel sorry for the Farangs who don’t know better than to go with them. But I also understand the taxi drivers, that they just want to make money like everyone else. But I was surprised that he tried this on me since I am Thai, like I would pay that much for a taxi ride. Read More...
