Live Your Childhood Dream at a Seville Hotel.

Every year as a child I would receive a postcard from my Grandparents from their annual holiday to Andalusia in Spain. The postcard would always depict the same image: a beautiful young girl dancing flamenco with a real cloth skirt. Every time I received this card it instilled in me a desire to wear a dress like that and to dance flamenco. This year I visited Seville and that dream came true.

Seville is the capital of Flamenco and it’s possible to find flamenco shows, flamenco shops and flamenco schools round ever corner.

I had gone to the city with the sole aim of learning to dance the famous Spanish dance. I booked myself into a central Seville Hotel, bought myself some shoes and signed up for classes at a local school. I took 3 classes a week and made pretty good progress. At my final class I was chatting with my teacher about the spring Feria when she invited me to visit her house to see her various dresses. This was like the chance of a lifetime.

When I entered her walk in wardrobe I was like a child in a sweet shop. I touched the flowing colourful fabric and oohed and aahed over ever different design of dress. Then came the real dream question “would I like to try one on?” I think you know what my answer was to that one. The only difficulty was choosing which one. I eventually picked a stunning red dress with black polka-dots and four tiers of ruffles along the bottom. As we danced side by side in her living room I was in a dream, my childhood dream that had now come true.

My stay turned out to be the holiday of a lifetime and needless to say I already have my Seville Hotel booked ready for my return visit next year.
